New Lunch Program Applications Are Out!

The Michigan Department of Education has released new family lunch program applications, and they are available in buildings now and one is included right with this link for family convenience!  Families no longer have to complete a lunch application for each child and are asked to fill out only one new family application each year.

Families that participated in the program last year were mailed applications in early July.  If you did not get an application and would like one, you may use the one enclosed in this link or stop by any office to pick one up.  For applications to be mailed directly to your home, please call Sara Shriver at the Central Office (989) 352-7221 Ext:2401.  We will also be scanning and putting the applications on the district website in early August.

With the new lunch program provided by Chartwell’s, student information remains confidential with the use of the student identification cards.  The district is pleased to provide the free and reduced lunch program to all families that would benefit from participating. 

These applications are very important to the district as they help to secure and maintain as many grant funds which are used to provide student programs such as Title I, After School, Summer School, and Technology.  Therefore, if you think you may qualify, please complete one of the family applications and return it to Sara Shriver, Lakeview Community Schools, 123 Fifth Street, Lakeview, MI 48850.
