Sinking Fund Information

On May 7, 2019, voters residing in Lakeview Community Schools school district will be asked to consider supporting a request for a Sinking Fund for Lakeview Community Schools.

In the fall of 2018, the Board of Education designated the Building and Grounds Committee Authority to put together a “Sinking Fund Committee” to explore the needs of our district and to gauge the support for placing a ballot question during the May 7, 2019 election. The Building and Grounds committee was tasked with creating a committee that included members of the community to determine if there was support in going forward with a Sinking Fund. Members who volunteered for the committee are: Paul Main, Brad Peasley, Joan Main, Barb Kain, Jeff Kurtze, Joe Main, Brian McKenna, Jack Jeppesen, Allan Griffith, Ken Rader, Bridgette Ludtke, George Behrenwald, Tricia Root, Kelly Nielsen, Rickay Main, Kelli Medler, Dan Kain, Rian Ford, Lisa Peasley, David England and Kevin Griffin. We appreciate your willingness to volunteer time to explore the needs of our district.

In an effort to be transparent and to provide enough details for our voters to make an informed decision, we will be sharing information using social media, local news outlets and hosting a community forum on April 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lakeview High School Cafeteria. Additionally, listed below, we have outlined a list of frequently asked questions related to our Sinking Fund initiative.
